Thank you for visiting
the Rt66 Pup Stop website. Unfortunately
we had to close our little
shop back in February but
we Welcome you to look around
and see what we were all about......

Matthew, our middle son, (21) began apprenticing under me last year and has a natural way with animals. He is patient and soft spoken and Its amazing to see how the dogs are drawn to him. We make a great team! Samuel is our youngest (14) and will be spending alot of time in the play areas keeping watch and filling water bowls etc…We are all very excited at the possibilities that can evolve.
Ive never been more sure of my calling and confident in my ability to carry it out, as I am now.
Today I know that mistakes are opportunities for growth, not a flaw in my character.I am blessed bc ive made quite a few over the years and now have acquired a lot of wisdomfrom that experience and im eager to pass it along. I love that my furbaby clients have taught me the important things in life. They've been patient and loyal, seeing me through some of the most difficult times in my life. Their unconditional love has made me a better person. 20 years may have come and gone, yet it feels like Im just getting started. I know I can make a difference in the grooming/pet care industry and It means even more that I can pass along the selfless act of providing the best you can give to our four legged friends. So welcome to our Pup Stop Groom shop on route 66! We hope you enjoy watching us grow and decide to be a part of our family!
The Doyle Family

In 1991 I ( Vrai, co-owner & head groomer) graduated grooming school and married Marc Doyle and both a family and grooming career began. We had 3 wonderful boys and the years of ups and downs, bumps and bruises, smiles and tears of groomin and growing began. Naturally we daydreamed of owning our own groom shop. But life got busy and complicated andin 2013 our marriage ended, but our friendship stayed strong.
Marc retired as a truck driver this past year and bought a house in Springfield. The plan had always been for our 2 younger boys to move in with him. My heart went with them and my body soon followed. Nothing is more important than family. So it became clear that it was time to take that leap of faith and open our own business. Only now it wasn't just our dream, it was our boys as well. Everyone has been on board and a part of the process since the planning first began.
Our Pup Stop is not just family owned, but is family operated as well. Having worked as a groomer and with pets in several different environments, it was easy to pass my learning experience onto my family as I grew and learned new things.
Marc’s our investor and handles the paperwork etc.. Gratefully, he not only likes doing it, hes good at it as well! Hes got the front desk under control and has quickly mastered the art of booking appointments and handling customer questions. Our oldest son lives in Texas with his sweet family cheering us on.
